Interior Architecture & Design

From the initial client meeting through occupancy, our specialists in programming, space planning and interior design work with our clients to identify their design goals, schedule requirements and budgetary parameters. Ultimately, we develop a design that is sensitive to the individual considerations of the project and reflects and advances our clients’ missions.

Featured Projects
SubZero/WOLF Showrooms
Showrooms in Hollywood, Florida; Atlanta; and Charlotte showcase the SubZero built-in refrigeration and WOLF cooking appliances of distributor The Westye Group Southeast. These innovative environments, which feature the products in a variety of vignettes and test kitchens, enhance their customer experience, express Westye’s mission, and create a new sales tool.
General Motors
The new 21,000-SF workplace for General Motors’ government relations office showcases its well-known brand and provides sophisticated, welcoming space for high-profile clientele. The office emphasizes openness, and expresses the three pervasive brand concepts that drive the design scheme: road trip, innovation, and machine.
One Central Park
When the Related Companies set out to construct the Time Warner Building, a high-end mixed-use project in New York’s Columbus Circle, they employed the highest level of design, materials and craftsmanship to create a “cost-is-no-object” residential tower. RTKL designed the interiors for the premier residential building’s lobby in a style that is elegant, inviting, and cosmopolitan.
Ritz Carlton Palm Beach Guest Rooms
The renovation of the high-end hotel’s guest rooms blends color, textures and materials reminiscent of 1920s Palm Beach with modern technology to accommodate the tech-savvy traveler. The luxurious but functional rooms predict guest needs and surpass their expectations, all the while expressing the Ritz-Carlton brand and showcasing regional flavor.
Oceaneering Advanced Technologies Group
Oceaneering, an international advanced technology company with clientele in marine, space and other harsh environments, wanted to consolidate engineering and fabrication staff in a singular location. The design of their new 145,000-SF facility aims to strengthen their corporate culture, express their mission to potential and existing clients, and do it all within a tight budget.
Spa Palazzo at Boca Raton Resort
In the 1920s, the Boca Raton Resort was known as "the greatest resort in the world." Today, the resort’s new award-winning Spa Palazzo is capturing some of the same kudos. Inspired by a Moorish design of a Spanish palace, the luxurious spa complements the resort’s original Mediterranean feel, but also gives it modern-day relevance.
Dennis Gaffney AIA, Vice President
“The workforce is changing. Having the flexibility to accommodate changes in staff and worker expectations requires a long-term workplace strategy. Today’s smart companies encourage people to ‘work well’ offering flexibility and reusability, in addition to promoting comfort and health. At RTKL, we work with our clients to create physically, emotionally and technologically supportive environments that breed the creativity, collaboration and communication necessary to stay relevant and potent in today’s market.”
