University of Chicago Medical Center
RTKL is providing Medical Equipment Planning and Technology Systems Design for the University of Chicago Medical Center’s New Hospital Pavilion. The 1.2 million SF facility will house the hospital’s most distinguished clinical programs. RTKL is working with Viñoly Architects and Cannon Design to create a high-tech hospital that will optimize patient care and clinical research while flexibly adapting to fast-paced changes in technology.
Cleveland Clinic Heart Center
RTKL Healthcare Technologies group provided medical equipment services for a nearly one million-SF addition to Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Named the Arnold & Sydell Miller Family Pavilion, the new building, houses the hospital’s Heart and Vascular Institute and incorporates the latest in medical technology. It was designed by NBBJ.
Stanford University Medical Center
For Stanford Hospital’s new 220,000 SF outpatient center, RTKL Healthcare Technologies group provided Medical Equipment Planning and Low Voltage & Communication Systems Design. The center includes orthopedic, sports medicine, surgical, medical, and dermatology clinics, and the largest sleep clinic in the country. It was designed by Anshen+Allen.
Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford
When Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, California, embarked upon a major expansion and renovation of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, they chose RTKL to provide Medical Equipment Planning, Procurement, and Installation Coordination. RTKL equipment planners are working with architects for the expansion, HGA and KPF, on the more than 600,000 SF project that is scheduled to be complete in 2015.
University Medical Center at Princeton
Spacious and flexible integrated operating rooms with robotics and other emerging technologies are among the features planned for the 663,000 SF replacement hospital for University Medical Center at Princeton. Similarly, throughout the facility, state-of-the-art design and technology will enhance patient safety, reduce medical errors, and improve clinical outcomes. RTKL is working in conjunction with hospital designers HOK and Hillier to provide medical equipment planning services for the new hospital.
Children’s Health System
Children's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, is adding a 700,000 square-foot expansion to its downtown campus. RTKL has been chosen to provide full equipment planning, procurement, and installation coordination for the new facility slated to open in 2012. RTKL equipment planners are coordinating with hospital architect HKS to ensure the facility will support advanced pediatric care well into the future.
